We monitor the most important drivers – including potential impact of weather, supply, core demand and other key drivers – with our proprietary models to correctly assess where the markets are likely to head next.

OUR TEAM

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, 2003-2021

Andrew Weissman  |  Andy provided strategic advice to leading firms in the energy sector for more than thirty years, playing a key role in developing innovative business structures for major energy transactions, and transforming state and federal energy and environmental policy. As energy analyst and attorney, he helped expand access to the transmission grid, increased competition in wholesale and retail electricity markets, and ensured rate recovery for major capital expenditures for environmental compliance.

ENERGY ANALYSTS

Eli Z. Rubin  |  Eli is an expert in econometrics, statistics, microeconomics, and energy-related public policy. He is instrumental in designing the algorithms used in our models, and in assessing the potential discrepancies between theoretical and practical market effects of models and historical results.

Andrew McCoy  |  Andrew specializes in electricity markets and the impact of geopolitical risk on global oil market fundamentals. His focus is on the analysis of global decarbonization efforts, and the implications of economy-wide transformations for the business models of oil and gas producers, utilities, and merchant generators alike..

METEOROLOGIST

Stephen Strum  |  Our senior scientist and forecaster, Steve has provided historical and forecast data services to over 100 companies in the energy trading industry. He has made weather presentations on Energy News Live, and taught Economic Meteorology at Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma. Steve has an M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and a B.S. in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University.

ECONOMIST

Ernest Ellingson  |  Ernie is responsible for developing our mathematical modeling and computational methods. He has previously served as Chief Economist for the Missouri Public Service Commission; Manager of Forecasting and Economic Analysis and as Vice President of Marketing Services for Georgia Power.
